Stephen Varady was born in Sydney in 1959. He received a Bachelor of Architecture degree with honours from the University of New South Wales in 1987, and received a Masters Degree at RMIT University in Melbourne in 2002. In 1987 he began his own practice, Stephen Varady Architecture, which has consistently produced innovative, award-winning architecture that continues to challenge conventional approaches to our built environment. Works have included residences, interiors, exhibitions and museum fit outs, commercial and public buildings, and planning and urban design projects.
